SARAH MAE COLLIER
Obituary
Sarah M. Collier was born on June 2, 1946 to Dudley Mae Jones and Jessie Wingfield in Pelham, Georgia. Sarah departed this earth on February 10, 2022 at The James Cancer Hospital at OSU.
Sarah relocated to Columbus, Ohio to assist her sister-aunt with caring for her children. Sarah later obtained employment at Isabelle Ridgway Nursing Center in 1977, where she cared for the elderly until she retired in 2008 aftet 31 years of service.
Sarah was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Herbert J. Collier. Two grandsons, Michael C. Davis and Joseph A. Jones; mother, Dudley Mae Jones, sister-aunt Ann Jones and a list of other beloved family members.
Sarah leaves to cherish her memory daughters: Loretta (David) Bankston and Angela (Zelos) Neely; granddaughters: Candace Davis and Brittany (Ashley) Shaw.
8 great-grandchildren; sister-aunts: Elder Katherine Major and Christine Robertson.
brother-uncle: Charlie Jones Jr.; also a host of cousins- nieces- nephews and friends
