MR. JACKIE JAMES GORDON

Mr. Jackie J. Gordon, 62 of Columbus, Ohio departed this life quietly at home on Wednesday, May 12, 2021.

He was born to the late Willie James and Ivory Nell Gordon, in the city of Sumpter, South Carolina. He attended the Baltimore Maryland city public schools, graduating from Dunbar High School in 1977.

He received Jesus Christ at an early age and attended various churches throughout his life. He loved the Lord, he enjoyed good preaching and gospel music.  He enjoyed singing in the choir and attending Bible Study.

He met and married the love and soulmate of his life Jennifer Anita (Stokes) Gordon.  With this union came two step children, Mark and Raqeul Stokes.  He was a loving and devoted husband and father figure to his stepchildren and seven grandchildren.

He enjoyed cooking, entertaining and dressing up in various colorful attire.

He is preceded in death by parents, wife, Brothers Richard, Willie and Ray Gordon; Sisters, Betty J. Mcfadden, Mary A. Roberts and Edna J. Gordon.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two step children Mark and Raquel Stokes, 7 grandchildren of Ohio; Brothers Lee (Febbie) Gordon of NC, Albert Gordon, Rev. Doc. James (Sabrina) Gordon of Maryland, Harry Gordon of Ohio; Sisters, Dorothy Wiley, Willa Fonville, Linda Gordon all of Ohio, Delores Gordon, Leas Sabb of Maryland; Mama and Daddy Butler of Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews other relative and friends.
