LAWRENCE DUBOIS DORSETT

Lawrence Dubois Dorsett “Larry”, age 78, was born on May 14th 1943 to Mary Lou Dorsett and Walter Dorsett Sr. He was born in Gilliam West Virginia and raised in Springfield Massachusetts. He moved to Columbus Ohio in 1969. He proudly attended Springfield Massachusetts public schools. He loved and enjoyed riding motorcycles, and collecting cars.

Lawrence was very good with his hands, he was a painter, a maintenance man, and he worked on cars, to provide for his family. Lawrence worked at Mid-American Cleaning Contractors for over 20 years until his retirement. In the last 6 months Lawrence was dedicated to helping take care of his Mother in her time of need. He will always be loved and greatly missed.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his father Walter Dorsett Sr., and his wife Gleno Kelly. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother Mary Lou Dorsett, his daughters Glennell Dorsett, and Shannell Dorsett (Anthony), Brother Walter Dorsett Jr., sisters Josephine Dorsett, Peggy Bonner, granddaughter Jackiya Macklin (Devin), Great-grandchildren Le’Andre Steel, Navaia Steel, nephews Marlon Dorsett, Mark Bonner (Taiwo), special friend Elizabeth Brannon, and other relatives and friends.
