Jeffrey Lewis Taylor was born February 3, 1957 in Columbus, Ohio. Survived by his parents Emma Taylor and father Lewis Taylor. He was raised in the church from the beginning and he was a member at Family Baptist Church. At an early age Jeff excelled in sports. He played football, basketball, and baseball. His love for sports drove him to sign up his baby cousin Peanut and convincing the family to let him play under his protection. Jeff continued to be an over achieved athlete up until an accident that physically injured him.
Jeff had a host of family and friends that were dedicated to helping him back to health. Once healed Jeff continued to strive. He attended Columbus Public schools and graduated from East High School. Still an avid sports fan Jeff chose to attend The Ohio State University where he graduated. He committed over 20 years of his life working at OSU meeting many friends he remained in close contact with. He retired in 2018.
Jeff was known throughout the city as an outspoken and high-spirited person putting a smile on every face he came across. He dedicated his time caring for his mother. He enjoyed detailed phone conversations with all his family and friends. Every weekend he was headed to spend time watching his sports with his family Trigger and Bay Bay.
Jeffrey’s memory will live on with many family and friends.
