IAN M. JONES-CARRANZA

On May 31st, 2018, Heaven was blessed to receive Ian Jones-Carranza, age 26, of Lewis Center, Ohio. Although his time on earth was tragically short, his presence and legacy will forever nurture and protect his devoted wife, Nadia, treasured children Idell (12), Ihmadjai (11), Kato (8), Aidan (2), Gavin (2), and Isabella (6 months).  He is also survived by his loving father, Antonio (Ofelia) Carranza; his mother, Tonya Jones; brothers, Romero Jones, Ramone (Naeemah) Jones, Saul Carranza; sisters, Hydia Jones, Yasmine Carranza; grandmother, Patricia Thompson; sisters-in-law, Shonna (Sean) Bates and Imari Valjean; nephew, Ramone Jr., and nieces Aleigha Mason and Journey Bates; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Ian is preceded in death by his sister-in-law Adriana Kheirkhah.

He proudly attended The Apprentice School in Newport News, Virginia. Aside from his family, wrestling was his other love.  In college, with Apprentice Wrestling, he was an All-American Wrestler all four years and excelled in the sport.   He was recently employed with Wolfrum Roofing & Exteriors, LLC, who quickly became his family. He was a selfless man that adored his wife and children. He had a quiet and gentle spirit and anyone that knew him quickly learned to love him.

Services will be held Monday, June 11th, 2018, beginning at 9:30 am for a viewing and service at 10:00 a.m. at The Potter’s House Church of God, 3220 Lowell Dr., Columbus, OH 43204., with Rev. Gerald Murphy, Eulogist
