Glennda Arnez Foster, lovingly known as “PeeWee”, of Columbus, Ohio, departed this life peacefully on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the age of 67 years old, surrounded by family. Although she left her earthly body on March 18, she had made the decision years ago to be an organ donor so that she could continue blessing others even after her death.
Glennda was born on November 14, 1953 to the late Eugene Garland Sr. and Frieda Camelia Edmonds of Charleston, West Virginia.
She was born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia and received her education from Kanawha County Schools. While living in Columbus, she earned her business certification from Mansfield Business College. She was employed and retired from Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority.
PeeWee enjoyed reading, camping, cooking for her family, fishing with her son and spending time with her grands and great grandchildren. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior and for the last year was attending virtual service at Bible Believers Fellowship Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Michael, Eugene Jr. sister; Eugenia and brother in laws, Andre and Thurman.
She leaves an abundance of memories to be cherished by her daughter, Sonja and son, Michael (Dale); grandchildren, Andreica, Christopher (of Charleston, West Virginia), Di’Sjon, Dezia, Lil Mike, Mishayla, Desaray, Zaire, Gabriel, Daleshawna (all of Columbus, Ohio); 11 great-grandchildren; Brothers, Carl (Doris), Harold (Ann) of Charleston, West Virginia, James (Brenda) of Springfield, VA, Mike (Sundrea), Terry and Marvin of Columbus, Ohio; Sisters, Daisy (Richard), Renee, Trucilla (Tony), Teresa, Valerie (all of Charleston, West Virginia), Kimberly, Margaret and Gwen of Columbus, Ohio. And a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
One thing about PeeWee is that she believed in “keeping it real” with her family and friends. And when departing or ending a phone call, her favorite thing to say was “Chow”.
So, we say, to our Mother, Granny (GG), Sister, Auntie, Cousin, Friend, “Chow” until we see you again.
We Love You!
