David J. Wade was born to Norman McDowell Jones and Toni Diane William on October 7, 1965. He departed this world Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at OSU East.
As David navigated his way through life, he attended several Columbus City Schools where he met a wealth of friends along the way. Being the charismatic and outgoing charmer that he was, everyone who was privileged enough to cross his path were delighted by his infectious smile and laugh. He remained a devoted and loving husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend until the Lord called him to his heavenly home at the tender age of 55.
David is predeceased by his parents Norman M. Jones and Toni D. (William) Parker, his eldest born Donte Lee Ward, maternal grandmother Gloria Harris, Great grandmother Eula Harris affectionately called GG, uncle Steven William, and cousin Steven “Craig” Dukes, paternal great grandmother Edna Marie Fleming, grandmother Agnes Hannah Ford (William “Plunk”) Ford, uncles Daniel and Leonard Ford and brother-in-law Markio K. Washington.
Poppy leaves to cherish his loving wife Nicole Samone Wade, mother-in-law Sharon Washington, son Cody Wade, daughters Toni Spikes, Shidea Lane, Brittany Wade and Asli Wade, brothers Marvin (Takako) Ervin, Martin Ervin, Greg Wade, Todd Wade, DeAndre Smith and David Lynch, sisters Jennifer (Reese) Burton, Heather Jones and Debra (Thomas) Feasel, aunt Patricia Evans, uncles Anthony Ford and Glenn (Barbara) Ford, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to treasure his lifetime upon this earthly realm.
“The Real D. Wade” was a natural born philanthropist! He received Christ at an early age and showed how his mercy endures forever. For better or for worse, he always sought to implant peace and provide comfort within the lives of others. His DNA lives on, in all of us, may you allow the sweetness of his deeds, the tenderness of his caressing embrace and the absence of his voice guide your path as our journey continues on another day. Just know that he loved each and everyone of you, uniquely in your own special way! Now his tasks lie in the Lord’s hands and he would pray that God’s plans has divine favor for us during this difficult feat.
