Darlene Anita Gardner-Scott, 61, of Columbus, Ohio went to be with the lord on May 11th, 2023. She was born August 14th, 1961, to Rose Marie and Samuel Gardner Sr.
Darlene, lovingly known by family as “Dink”. Darlene was born in Columbus, Ohio but started her early childhood in Selma, Alabama. Upon moving back to Columbus, Ohio, she received her education from Columbus city schools and Southwestern city schools, graduating from Franklin Heights HS.
Darlene married Antonio Scott Sr. and to that union were born two sons Antonio Jr. And Stacey. After separating, Darlene met her love life partner Albert Bryan and to this union was born a daughter Storm.
Finding her career home at Honda of America, as a welder. She loved being able to hold her own in a male dominated field. Darlene was able to proudly retire from Honda of America.
Dedicated Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and Aunt. She loved spending time with her loved ones. Always throwing down in the kitchen. Constantly finding ways to bring family together and give back to her community. She still took time to enjoy her true passion of writing fictional romance novels. Also reading, painting, DIY projects, sewing, shopping, swimming,and especially all things beauty! Being bold she was known to cut her hair and grab her hoop earrings at any moment.
Darlene is proceeded in death by parents Rose Marie & Samuel Gardner Sr., brother Gregory Gardner, nephew Gregory Harrington, and brother-in-law Edward Smith.
Darlene is survived by Loving life partner Albert Bryan and Family, children Antonio (Michelle) Scott, Stacey Gardner, and Storm Bryan, grandchildren Antonio Scott III and Kemaune Bryan-Jenkins, sister Mary Louise Gardner-Smith, brother Samuel (Stephanie) Gardner jr. Sister-in-love Evelyn Black; nieces and nephews Danielle, Whitni, Buncie, lan, Logan, Samantha, Michael, and Brandon; Along with a host of other Family and friends.
