CHARLES EDWARD SHERROD

Charles E. Sherrod was born April 17, 1942 in Springfield Ohio, to the union of William Sherrod Jr. & Marjorie L. Cassell (Clegg).

Charles is the Father of one girl, Deanna of Brooklyn NY and two sons, Kenny, Brooklyn NY and Ashanti (Ty), Columbus Oh, all whom he loved unconditionally.

He was educated in Springfield City Schools, served briefly in the United States Army, . He moved to Columbus around 1968 and was employed by Speeds Electric until his semi-retirement in 2010. .

On Wednesday, December 09, 2020 Charles passed away peacefully with family by his side in Mt. Carmel East Hospital after a brief battle with Covid 19 Coronavirus.

He was preceded in death by his parents William Sherrod & Marjorie L. Cassell-Clegg, Brother Robert L. Sherrod, Sister Charlotte D. (Dee Dee) Garrett and Sister Eileen J. (Joellen) Stephany.

Charles leaves to cherish his memory his loving Wife Alma Bayless-Sherrod. Special niece Vicki C. Dukes, Special Nephews, Mark R. Garrett and John H. Garrett Sr. (Christy).  Also a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Charles was a very “Social” person who loved to laugh and be amongst his family, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
