Seaborn Bishop, 83, of Gahanna, Ohio; went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 24, 2021, surrounded by his family.  Seaborn, was a Army Veteran and a retired employee of the Defense Supply Construction Center in Columbus. 

Born in Greshamville, Georgia to Samuel Bishop and Elizabeth (Jackson) Bishop.  Seaborn was the baby boy of 13 children.  After serving in the military he moved to Columbus, Ohio where he met and married the love of his life Beverly Ann (Lee) Bishop.

The Lord saw fit to cleanse and save Seaborn and he accepted the calling of the Lord on his life, committing himself to serving only God and to learning and sharing Gods Word.  He received pastoral training and a Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Education from Aenon Bible College as well as his Master’s Degree and training in Christian Education and theology Studies from Ohio Methodist Theological Seminary and Josephinum Pontifical Seminary, eventually becoming an ordained Bishop.

Bishop Seaborn Bishop was the founder and pastor of God’s Grace Deliverance Apostolic Faith Church.  He never took lightly the calling on his life or the Lord’s command to “feed my sheep” – his passion and commitment was to all of God’s people especially those at God’s Grace.  He lived a life of obedience to the Lord and was an awesome example to his family.

Seaborn is predeceased by his parents, Samuel & Elizabeth Bishop; his wife of 47+ years, Beverly Bishop; his only son Sheldon Bishop; and eleven of his siblings.

He leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Deborah Day, caregiver Lisa (Nathaniel) Easley, and Lynette Bishop-Anderson; grandchildren, Brittney Tubbs, Brooke Tubbs, Chanel Boykin, Margaret Anderson, Ian Anderson, Jonah Anderson; great-grandson Braylen Moore; one brother Samuel Bishop, one sister Millicent Woods.  Special extended family members Eddie (Antoinette) Tubbs and James Anderson, as well as a host of cousins and loving nieces and nephews of whom he loved so much.
