Betty Jean Blount (Good) was born February 23, 1935 in Bowden, Georgia to Edith Wyatt. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Arbors at Carroll in Carroll, Ohio.
Betty went to Carrollton High School in Carrollton, Georgia. She and her late husband, Robert, moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1953 where she took a job with Forest Towel. In 2002, she retired from American Source as an Inventory Specialist. Betty loved to cook and host holidays and Sunday dinners at her house for her children and grandchildren. She liked to shop and especially loved when she could make a day of it with her daughters and granddaughters. She was an avid bowler and belonged to a bowling team with her husband, Theodore.
Betty was a wonderful mother and friend who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her physical presence will be missed but her gracious spirit will continue to live on in all those that loved her.
Betty was preceded in death by: her late husband, Robert Blount, Jr.; son, Levon Blount; mother, Edith Wyatt of Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Zeddie Bryant of Atlanta, Georgia; brother, Robert L. Wyatt of Dallas, Texas.
Betty is survived by: her husband Theodore J. Good; sister Carrie King-Cook of Atlanta, Georgia; daughters, Therassa Ann Williams (Harry), Eloria Clopton (Phillip), son, Andre Blount (Michelle), grandchildren, Andrea Johnson (Rob), Austine Clopton, Amanda Clopton, Adam Clopton (Octavia), Addison Clopton, Deon Blount, DeAndre Blount and great grandchildren, Santana Bass, Savannah Bass, Deon Blount Jr., Daylon Blount, Davion Blount, and Ayah Connor, as well as, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
