BARBARA JEAN BROOKS

Barbara Jean Brooks, 82.  Born June 16, 1936 in Zanesville, Ohio to Fred Moses and Eva Price-Moses.  Barbara and her family came to Columbus, Ohio in 1941 and she received her education in the Columbus City Schools System.  She did hair for 28 years at Brooks Creative Concepts.  She belonged to Ohio Association of Beauticians and Alpha Phi Omega for 28 years.  She was a life long member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.  She was united in marriage August 1954 to James Donald Lee Brooks. To this union were born four children who were greatly loved by her.  Survivors include her children, Donnetta Madhi, James Brooks, Marvin Brooks, and Shirlynn Brooks of Lima, OH; brother, Jimmy Price; sister, Joyce Ragland; grandchildren, Marvin Moses Brooks, Suerethia Henderson, Monique Brooks, Tameka Brooks, Ceirra Brooks, and Markayla Brooks; great grands Amayah Robinson, Avery and Nora Todd, Anise New; nieces Donna Broadnax & Family; Andy Little & Family; cousins, Shirley Slade & Family, Mary Robinson & Family; other relatives and friends including Doris Perry, Lenor Knowles, Ann Dudley, and Alma Jean.
