Delinia Goss was born to the late Charlie and Susie Goss on March 5, 1939 in Carrollton Mississippi. On October 6, 1958 he married Willie Lee Goss and in this union six beautiful kids were born. He left Mississippi in the early 1960’s and moved to Chicago. Delinia loved to fish and hunt, and he fed plenty with his many catches. He was a very hardworking man, and he made sure he did what he needed to do to provide for his family. He had amazing skills. He was a mechanic, roofer, plumber, painter, and maintenance man. All his skills were self taught. He retired from the work sector on April 26, 2001. He enjoyed nineteen years of retirement.
On June 24, 2019, he departed this world. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Willie Goss, his daughter, Linda Goss. his grandsons, Samuel Johnson and De’Angelo Raines;his parents, Charlie and Susie Goss; his brothers, Charlie, Otha, Rayfield, and J.L.; his sisters, Clara, Josephine and Cloatie. He leaves to cherish his memory, four daughters, Delores (Alan) Williams, Michelle Wells, Wanda Coleman, Kimberly Goss and one son, Delinia Goss Jr. He leaves behind fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Kitchul and James; sister Teretha, as well as a nephew he regarded as his brother, Maynard Blackmon. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
