Our mother, Beverly Ann Bynum, age 77 was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 30, 1940. Our Mom finished her race, closed the chapter of her life, the windows to her soul and went home and be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 18, 2018.
After graduating from East High School, our mother Beverly remained a resident of Columbus. She graduated in the first class of Children’s Hospital Surgical Technician Program where she received her certification.
She raised her children Cheryl, Bret, Lonnie and Bill in the Driving Park Community where she lived for over 50 years. She worked at Mt. Carmel East for a number of years all while being a single parent. She later returned to the workforce at The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute where she retired after 19 years as a Surgical Technician.
Mom loved visiting the local consignment and thrift stores where she found the most amazing deals. She loved working in the yard and she took great pride in her home. Mom had an impact on everyone she encountered. She was a kind, loving and pleasant person who possessed great wisdom, but she was also upfront and direct. Mom was involved in the Driving Park Community Association and she lived a very active life.
Mom is proceeded in death by her Mother; Ruth Rankins, Son; Tracy Glover, Daughter; Pamela Glover, Sister; Pauline Glover, Aunt; Naomi Walker (Charles), Cousin; Darlene Heinz and Gwendolyn Stone.
The memory of our mother, Beverly A. Bynum, will be cherished by her Children: Bret A. Glover (Marla), Cheryl Cowans, Yolanda Bynum, William Bynum; Grandchildren: Julia Glover, Kia’lana Glover, Erica Cowans, Candace Cowans, Natasha Glover, Joseph Glover, Aaron Glover, Brittney Ward, Bryce Ward, Tarriq Bynum; Niece Roxann Glover, and special lifetime friends: Aunt Juliet, Poncho, the Whites, and a host of great grandchildren, and other friends from her community and travels.
