Bertha Rosie Hale was born June 27, 1947 in Lumpkin Georgia to Elnora Woods.
Bertha is preceded in death by her husband William Hale Sr, mother, Elnora Woods, grandparents, Phelton & Rosie Lee Woods, sister, Inez Teague , brothers, John and Ulysses Woods, Step son William Hale Jr .
She leave to cherish her memory, daughters, Kimberly Hale, , NaKatia, Shanelle & Stephanie Robinson, step son James Hale, sisters, Melvina Smith & Bonnetta Harris, brother, Joseph (Joan) Woods, Uncle, Joseph C. Woods, grandchildren Sarah, Michael & Michele Orr, Katrina, William (lil Bill), and David Hale , Shakim & Tamala Hale, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, a host of family and friends.
Bertha followed in the footsteps of Elnora’s belief, “Family take care of family. No outsider should have to take care of us.” She has been instrumental in many children’s lives and has taken in many families as her own. She was effectually known as Lil Sistah & Luwa.
She was a mighty woman of God saved by grace and shared the word of God to whom ever would listen. But don’t get it twisted, she would check you and put you in your place if the opportunity should unfortunately arise. Then she would love on you again.
Bertha was extraordinarily creative. She would decorate a Christmas tree and floral arrangements fit for the White House. Her choice in fashion was even larger than life with those six inch heels with the strap around her ankles.
Bertha will surely be missed and there is nothing that can fill the space she vacated on that Tuesday morning of October 30, 2018. We know to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Rest Peacefully Bertha. Until we meet again.
